Key Responsibilities of a Travel Advisor

  • Market and promote your travel services to prospects and people you know using the LevartéCRM and Marketing Tool Kit. It includes a database, custom website, email marketing platform and so much more!

 

  • Offer destination recommendations based on each client’s interests. Become a specialist in things that interest you, like cruising or a specific destination, like Dubai or Italy.

 

  • Rely on thousands of suppliers to help educate you about planning and selling transportations, accommodations, insurance, tours, excursions and other travel services. (As a bonus, you get to visit or experience a lot of these things yourself at very discounted prices.)
  • Inform your clients and help them submit any documents required, such as passports, visas or COVID test results.

 

  • Make alternative arrangements if changes arise before or during the trip.

 

  • Provide any and all relevant information, brochures and publications (guides, local customs, maps, regulations, events details) to your clients for their upcoming trip or as they begin booking their itinerary with you.

 

  • Continue to learn about new travel experiences along the way – Oh and don’t forget to have FUN!

About the CEO and Founder: Lori Speers

Lori Speers has more than 35 years of leadership experience as a travel professional. She has worked for Fortune 500 Corporate Travel entities, boutique Virtuoso agencies, and large host agencies. 
 
Most recently, Lori was with Xstream Travel and during her time there was instrumental in growing the membership base by more than 400%, as well as increasing annual gross sales by more than 1,200%. In her most recent position, she oversaw an operation that supported more than 3,500 independent leisure travel professionals. 
 
An expert in all aspects of the travel industry, Lori was instrumental in developing the company’s Travel division, which is recognized as a top producer for all established cruise lines and tour operators. For 13 consecutive years, the agency has been rated one of TRAVELSAVERS “Top 40 Travel Agencies.”
 
Lori is regularly asked to participate on industry panels and is an executive board member for the Cruise Line International Association (CLIA), Carnival Travel Advisory Board, Royal Caribbean Executive Forum, and Norwegian Cruise Line’s President’s Symposium.
